Kathryn Riley, Piano
Kathryn began taking piano lessons when she was 5 years old and took private lessons
until she graduated from high school. During that time she performed frequently
in group and individual recitals and participated in competitions. She also played
the flute, clarinet, oboe, and vibraphone in middle school. In high school she
sang in the school chorus for 4 years. In college she played piano accompaniment
for several plays, including one in Madrid, Spain. In more recent years she has
acted and sung in 2 shows with the Georgetown Law Gilbert and Sullivan Society
and has been giving private piano lessons to both beginners and more advanced
students at the Patricia M. Sitar Center for a year and a half. She recently began
learning guitar.
