Katrina Toews, Washington Ballet DanceDC: Ballet
Katrina Toews, Director of the Education and Outreach Program at the Washington
Ballet, is a professional dancer, choreographer, teacher and Pilates trainer.
Toews holds an MA in dance from American University in Washington, DC and a BA
in performing arts and elementary education from Bethel College in Kansas. Toews
has taught at American University, James Madison University, The Washington School
of Ballet and Washington Ballet’s outreach program DanceDC, Dance Place,
The Levine School of Music, the Patricia M. Sitar Center for the Arts, and the
Davis Center. She is the founder and director of K2 Dance Company and has been
showcased at the Kennedy Center’s Millennium Stage, Dance Place, The Jack
Guidone Theatre, and American University’s Greenburg Theatre. She has danced
with Carla & Company and Sister's Trousers, both Washington-based companies.
In addition to the DanceDC outreach program, Katrina also teaches Pilates at the
Washington School of Ballet.
