Sitar Arts Center’s state-of-the-art facility was designed specifically to best meet the arts education needs of our students. Our space includes two art studios, a dance studio with a professional-grade sprung floor, a darkroom, a drama room, a graphics lab, ten practice rooms, an 85-seat theater with a sound and light booth, a drum room, instrument storage and an art gallery space.
Sitar relocated to our 10,700 square foot home in 2004. The design of the facility and architect Greg Kearley were honored with a Pro Bono Publico Award honoring outstanding design in the public interest from the Washington Chapter of the American Institute of Architects’ Washington Architectural Foundation.
