Recording Engineering & Sound Design
Dennis is currently a News Production Specialist for The Associated Press' Broadcast Division. Prior to moving to Washington last year, he was an audio engineer for NPR's Natioanally syndicated music program World Cafe with David Dye as well as NPR and PRI's Blues & Beyond with Jonny Meister. Dennis also spent a year as a studio technician and engineer at Grammy Award winning Arranger/Composer Larry Gold's studio in Philadelphia. Through his travels he has worked with artists such as Wilco, Spoon, Adele, The Legenday Roots Crew, John Legend, Jill Scott, Ray LaMontagne, Fleet Foxes and Dr. Dog just to name a few. In 2010 his production crew was nominated for a Grammy (Hip-Hop Album of the Year) for their work on The Roots' "How I Got Over." Dennis has a B.A. in Broadcasting and Audio Production from Temple University and also an A.A. in Communcation Arts from Delware County Community College. He enjoys local food, riding his bike and supporting The Philadelphia Phillies.

Maizie has been interested in art and design for over ten years. First introduced to both digital and film photography in high school, Maizie attended Furman University in South Carolina as a double major in Studio Art and Art History. After two years in South Carolina, Maizie transferred to Marymount University and graduated cum laude with her B.A. in Interior Design. Maizie loves sharing her love of art and design with the students at Sitar; since joining the volunteer staff in 2009, Maizie has taught Jewelry Design and Digital Photography classes.

Documentary Film Production
Brandon Kramer's career and education has focused on documentary filmmaking, media education and cross-cultural initiatives. With his brother Lance, Brandon created Meridian Hill Pictures, a production company dedicated to creating original documentaries and facilitating educational projects that inspire, educate and transform communities. Brandon has worked as a Media Teaching Artist for the Kennedy Center’s On Location tour, traveling to ten schools across the country to teach documentary filmmaking to middle school students. Brandon is a Maryland native and graduated from Boston University, where he studied Film Production and Cultural Anthropology. He has also worked for arts, nonviolent and cross-cultural education projects with the New York City-based arts education group The Story Pirates, Nonviolence International and the State Department-sponsored Youth Exchange & Study Program.
Lance Kramer, Volunteer
Documentary Film Production
Lance is creative director at Meridian Hill Pictures, a DC-based production company. Lance has a range of experience in film, journalism and education. He is an award-winning children’s author and has taught English in Ethiopia. Lance is on the Board of Directors of Docs in Progress and is a Dartmouth College graduate with a History major and Film minor.
