Gift Shop Attendant

Job Description The gift shop attendant maintains a log of purchases, opens and closes the store, accepts, counts and logs cash and credit card payments, monitors student and adult patrons in the store, sees that all gift shop visitors uphold Sitar Arts Center rules, stocks, cleans, straightens and maintains merchandise and appearance, and alerts Director of Social Enterprises of supply needs.
Minimum Qualifications The gift shop attendant should have a deep appreciation for the arts, a desire to work in an environment that supports children, a commitment to diversity and community, and be detail-oriented.

Position Duration Gift shop attendants volunteer for one semester of classes (spring, summer or fall semesters). Attendants are eligible to continue in the following session with the approval of the Director of Programs/Volunteer Coordinator and Director of Social Enterprises.
