Each semester, professional performing artists and groups visit Sitar’s Donald and Nancy L. de Laski Foundation Theater to perform for Sitar’s students, families and the community. Sponsored by many of our partner organizations such as The National Symphony Orchestra, DC Jazz Festival, The Shakespeare Theatre, Washington Performing Arts Society and the Cathedral Choral Society, these performances offer an opportunity to experience a professional quality performance here at the Center.
Sitar’s students also have an opportunity to showcase their talents for each other and the community during Student Showcase week, the culminating event of each semester.
All performances are free and open to the public.

Students participate by answering and asking questions, singing, and playing hand-held percussion instruments. Reverbs repertoire engages students and provides insight into issues that are still thought provoking today.
