Drama
The dramatic arts at the Sitar Center provide an outlet for self-expression
through role playing, thinking strategically and situationally,
and working as a team. Drama is unique in its ability to address
issues that are normally not addressed with ease and confidence
in other circumstances.
Music Theatre Workshop, which is currently led by teaching artists
Maureen Dwyer, Jennifer Lindsay, and Diana Rumrill, combines the
elements of vocal music, movement, and drama. The Sitar Center also
produces an annual summer musical.
A new partnership with Arena
Stage enriches the drama program as well as a partnership with
Washington National Opera.
The following drama programs are offered at the Sitar Center.
