Rent the Facility
Sitar Arts Center’s state-of-the-art facilities are available for rent to our greater community when our programs are not in session. All rental proceeds directly benefit Sitar Arts Center’s programs. The Center’s convenient location is ideal for music, theater, and dance performances, as well as workshops, meetings and special events.
Our facility is available to rent:
10:00 am–3:30 pm on weekdays during the school year
10:00 am–12:30 pm during the summer.
Additional afternoon, evening and weekend rentals may be available.

Rates
Policies and Procedures
- To inquire about space availability call (202) 797-2145 or e-mail communications@sitarartscenter.org.
- A deposit of 25% of the rental fee is due to reserve the space upon signing of the contract.
- The remainder of the rental payment will be due prior to the rental at an agreed upon date at least three business days prior to the rental.
- All renters must have a policy of public liability insurance for the for the benefit of the renter and Sitar Arts Center, covering not less than $1,000,000. Proof of that policy will be required upon final payment.
- Renters may not enter the building prior to the start time of the rental and must leave the building by the end time of the rental, or the renter will be subject to additional charges.
Daytime hours available for rental are 9:00 am–3:30 pm on weekdays during the school year, 9 am–12:30 pm during the summer, with additional afternoon hours during intersessions.
Evening and weekend rates apply to any rentals starting after 6:00 pm or on Saturdays and Sundays.
Reduced rates (insert anchor link to reduced rates) are available to non-profit organizations.
There is a $15 fee for receptions in the lobby or gallery.
Please inquire about prices for renting multiple spaces or the entire Center.
Theater
$115 an hour (Evenings and Weekends)
$60 an hour (Weekday Daytime)
• All events must end by 11pm on weeknights and midnight on weekends.
Recording Studio
$95 an hour (Evenings and Weekends)
$50 an hour (Weekday Daytime)
• All sound engineers must be approved in advance.
Dance Studio / Classroom / Gallery
$95 an hour (Evenings and Weekends)
$50 an hour (Weekday Daytime)
• Contractual Noise restriction in dance studio – room is not soundproof.
Dark Room / Practice Room
$15 an hour (Weekday Daytime)
• Darkroom renters must supply their own paper
• Sitar staff must check chemical amounts after each rental.

Theater
$100 an hour (Evenings and Weekends)
$54 an hour (Weekday Daytime)
• All events must end by 11pm on weeknights and midnight on weekends.
Recording Studio
$85 an hour (Evenings and Weekends)
$45 an hour (Weekday Daytime)
• An additional fee of $75 an hour for a recording engineer applies. All sound engineers not scheduled by Sitar Arts Center must be approved in advance.
Dance Studio / Classroom / Gallery
$85 an hour (Evenings and Weekends)
$45 an hour (Weekday Daytime)
• Contractual Noise restriction in dance studio – room is not soundproof.
