Aftercare Online (K-5)

This Spring Sitar’s Aftercare Online Program, Crafters Clubhouse, will provide students in K-5th an opportunity to virtually engage in a community-based, academic, and creative youth development programming during the out-of-school time hours. Additional adjustments have been made to the program due to COVID-19. The Aftercare spring program will be 10 weeks with an opportunity to showcase student work and performances.

  • Our 10-week Spring Semester will be from March 29th- June 11th.
  • No Classes for Spring Break: April 12th-16th

Aftercare Online provides the opportunity for students to connect with peers and staff, engage in community projects, and strengthen social skills. Students will participate in 3 arts classes, academic enrichment, and challenges and activities weekly.

Homework Club

Homework Club is optional and gives students an opportunity to work with volunteer homework helpers on a daily basis. Homework Club students will work in small groups or one on one and families can sign up for their preferred day(s) to receive homework help.

Academic Enrichment

Sitar Arts Center’s Aftercare program is partnering with Achieve Higher to provide academic enrichment in reading. Enrichment is provided in 4-week periods during each semester. Students work in small groups or one on one on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Arts Classes

Arts classes are offered on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. Students choose from Aftercare’s selection of classes. Aftercare Arts classes are 10 weeks and students can choose different classes for each semester. Students in Afterschool arts classes (i.e Ballet, WIT, Food crafts) will join the Aftercare only classes for weeks 7-10 which will also include special projects and culminating events, and field trips.

Challenges and Activities
