Loretta directs all programming, overseeing each program area: Program Operations, Program Implementation, and Artistic Development and Design. She also works collaboratively to ensure financial, human capital, and marketing and communications processes are efficient amongst all departments. Since joining Sitar in 2007, she has been integral in areas of student enrollment and retention, development and implementation of creative youth development practice within Sitar programming, and the creation and expansion of some of Sitar’s programs including summer camp, aftercare, gallery series, and workforce development programs. Loretta has a BFA in Fine Art from The University of the Arts, a MA in Arts Management from George Mason University and over 17 years of teaching and youth development experience. She is also a professional artist and muralist, and teaches weekly visual arts programming at Sitar.
