As a nonprofit organization, Sitar Arts Center relies on charitable gifts from individuals and businesses, as well as grants from corporations, foundations and government agencies. With each and every contribution, the Center is able to provide young people in its inner-city community the opportunity to discover their gifts in the visual and performing arts.

The cost for each student to take a full semester of classes at Sitar Arts Center is $1000. This tuition is significantly subsidized in order for all neighborhood youth - regardless of family income - to have the opportunity to receive a quality arts education; over 80 percent of students at Sitar Arts Center pay either $15 or $55 for a full semester of after-school classes.

Matching Gifts

Many employers encourage employees to donate to charitable organizations by matching their support. This is a great opportunity to increase the size of your gift! Check with your company’s Human Resources Department for information on your employer’s specific matching program.
